Opera appoints new President for Sales and Marketing

Oslo, Norway, March 15, 2007

As previously disclosed at Opera Software’s fourth quarter 2006 Results Presentation, Opera has appointed Mr. Robert Mullen as President of Sales & Marketing. He will take on global responsibility for sales and marketing activities across Opera’s Desktop, Devices, Opera Mini and Mobile business lines.

Mullen has extensive managerial and marketing experience after serving as President of Worldwide Field Operations for Chordiant Software. Before joining Chordiant, Mullen spent eight years with IBM in the Financial Services Sector in a variety of executive positions.

In addition, Opera announced the appointment of Rolf Assev as Chief Strategy Officer. He will now focus on corporate development and strategic partnerships. Assev formerly served as Opera’s Chief Commercial Officer.
