Eight fashion-designer brands launch wallpapers for Coast by Opera
The web’s most stylish browser just got even more fashionable. Users of Coast by Opera, the new browser that makes a style statement on the iPad, are now able to bring their fashion sensibilities to their online world. Eight established, Singapore-based fashion designers will debut their Spring/Summer 2014 collection at #DigitalFashionWeek Singapore 2013 from November 1 to 4 in Singapore and will bring their designs to the digital space through Coast.
As fashion meets technology, Coast has been named Digital Accessory of the Year by #DigitalFashionWeek Singapore 2013. Brands L”ILE AUX ASHBY, ZENCHI, 72 Smalldive, Cosset, Kae Hana, Lion Earl, Mandy Wu and MASH-UP have created custom wallpapers for Coast, based on their Spring/Summer 2014 collections. These are premium fashion labels for a variety of markets, from womenswear to menswear, as well as accessories. The designer wallpapers are now exclusively available for Coast users at http://coastbyopera.com/digitalfashionweek to add some style into their everyday hunt for inspiration.
“Fashion is not only on what you wear but also on what you use, and we spend so much time online looking for inspiration and ideas that our browsers should also make a style statement,” says Charina Widjaja, Project Director of #DigitalFashionWeek Singapore. “I love what Coast offers for web browsing on iPad. It also welcomes the possibility of bringing fashionable design to the digital space. And it is great to be part of it with our participating designers’ contributions.”
Coast is an intuitive and elegant browser tailor-made for iPad. Launched last month, its sleek, minimalist and futuristic design immediately caught people’s attention and led Coast to become the top-ranked lifestyle app in many countries. Coast’s full canvas and minimalist design provide maximum space for fashion designers to lend their creativity to the digital world.
“In Opera, we never stop seeking inspiration and ideas. We look for inspiring people through the web and getting inspired by the multitude of good design in both the online and offline worlds,” says Huib Kleinhout, Head of the Coast project at Opera Software. “With the launch of a series of designer wallpapers, Coast is able to combine under-the-hood functionality with fashionable design for the perfect accessory to browse on the go, relax or visit your favorite fashion sites. It also gives us a chance to share these beautiful designs worldwide, further enhancing Coast’s distinctive aesthetic.”
