With summer just around the corner, KDDI and Opera Software have joined forces once again to bringJapanese users two new mobile phones for browsing at the beach. KDDI willunveil their new summer line-up at a press event today, highlighting twoToshiba phones (“biblio” and T002) running Opera Mobile 9.5. This releasemarks the very first deployment of Opera Mobile 9.5 on BREW, making Operathe most advanced browser currently available for this a non-smartphoneplatform.
KDDI was early to embrace Opera’s latest mobile browser with a release ofseven new phones running Opera in October 2008. As KDDI’s official “PCSite Viewer”, Opera has continuously introduced better and faster browsingto Japanese subscribers since 2004. Opera Mobile 9.5 has re-imagined theway Web sites were viewed from the mobile screen, allowing users to choosebetween the default full-page view or Opera’s signature Small ScreenRendering. This version also boasts a new graphic user interface andimproved overall performance. Simple navigation by panning and zoomingplus the ability to save pages, passwords and sessions make Opera Mobile9.5 an easy-to-use and intuitive mobile-browsing experience.

The Toshiba “biblio” and T002 running Opera Mobile 9.5 will be on displayat the KDDI press event, held today at The Prince Part Tower Tokyo at 11amJapan Standard Time. These phones will be available at KDDI retailers inJapan in early July 2009.
