Opera Mini gains worldwide momentum: Four new distribution contracts signed

Oslo, Norway – March 28, 2006

 

Opera Software today announced four newcontracts with companies that will promote and distribute the Opera Minimobile browser to their customers. The four companies are US-basedPriceRunner, HT Telecom in Latvia, Small Planet (part of jippii.ru) inRussia and the Baltics, and Denmark-based Unwirepark, which will distributeOpera Mini in 180 countries. This announcement comes only days afterOpera announced three important distribution agreements for Opera Miniwith T-Mobile, GrameenPhone in Bangladesh and the Germantelecommunications service provider, debitel.

 

According to the agreements, the four companies will actively promoteand distribute both regular and customized versions of Opera Mini totheir customers. The customization may include company branding,bookmarks and content on the Opera Mini start page.

 

PriceRunner

 

The US-based Price Runner will actively promote and distribute OperaMini to give its users mobile access to its online product and pricecomparison services.

 

HT Telecom

 

High Technologies SIA is the biggest mobile applications serviceprovider in the Baltics. They will be promoting and distributing OperaMini in Latvia via Premium SMS.

 

Small Planet

 

Through its ownership of Jippii, a leading international mobileentertainment service provider, Small Planet will market and distributeOpera Mini as a premium download in Russia, Estonia, Lithuania andLatvia.
