Opera Software today announced the rollout of a customized version of its Opera Mini browser to Entel Chile subscribers, in association with Opera’s worldwide partner Vodafone, giving users in Chile the power of the internet at their fingertips at a very low cost.
Opera Mini is one of the most used mobile browsers with more than 190 million users worldwide. Opera is now extending its already-existing relationship with Entel Chile with a strong focus on bringing the power of the internet to Entel’s 10 million subscribers in Chile. Entel Chile subscribers will now be able to take advantage of Opera Mini’s speed and its compression technology, which saves users up to 90% of data costs.
Opera Mini users on Entel Chile’s service will automatically get the latest version of Opera Mini with Smart Page, which will give users quick access to Entel Chile’s data plans and other services. The Smart Page will become the hub of users” social life, bringing their latest updates from Facebook, Twitter and other news sources at a fraction of the cost. Entel Chile subscribers who are new to Opera Mini can download the customized version by typing m.opera.com on their device’s current web browser.
