The GX Rewards Ticket Lets Every Player Choose from Twelve Named Characters, No Gacha Pulls Required
OSLO, Norway – 1 October 2026 – Opera GX, the gaming browser, is teaming up with SEGA on a Persona5: The Phantom X (P5X) reward that lets every eligible player pick their own ★4 Phantom Idol, rather than being at the mercy of a gacha pull. The exclusive reward is then redeemable through GX Rewards, the browser’s built-in home for exclusive player drops.
In P5X, building the right team is central to the experience, and every new Phantom Idol changes how a team plays. But recruiting a specific character usually comes down to a gacha pull, which leaves the outcome to chance once players make the randomized roll. Instead, Opera GX’s reward removes that step entirely and simply lets players decide which character best fits their team from the start.
Eligible players can now claim the reward, a ★4 Phantom Idol Select Ticket, by downloading Opera GX or installing the dedicated GX mod and then redeeming through GX Rewards. Each ticket lets the player pick one of 12 ★4 Phantom Idols: Lufel, Motoha Arai, Shun Kano, Leo Kamiyama, Kayo Tomiyama, Tomoko Noge, Kiyoshi Kurotani, Yukimi Fujikawa, Seiji Shiratori, Toshiya Sumi, Kotone Montagne, and Miyu Sahara.
Opera GX’s collaboration with SEGA brings one of gaming’s most iconic names into GX Rewards. For decades, SEGA has built franchises that shaped entire genres, from Sonic the Hedgehog and Yakuza series to Shin Megami Tensei and Persona. The partnership continues Opera GX’s push to expand GX Rewards with meaningful, high-value content players can’t get elsewhere.
“Persona is one of the franchises that shaped how a generation of players thinks about JRPGs,” said Maciej Wójcik, Senior Product Marketing Director at Opera GX. “Being the browser that gets to deliver a truly exclusive reward inside a game like this, with a legendary partner like SEGA behind it, supports the kind of experience we want every Opera GX partnership to deliver.”
The P5X ★4 Phantom Idol Select Ticket is available globally* for a limited time. To claim it, players simply need to download Opera GX or install the P5X GX Mod before redeeming the reward in the browser.
The game is available on PC and mobile via the App Store and Google Play. Full giveaway details can be found at https://www.opera.com/gx/persona5x.
