Nokia N70 from T-Mobile with Opera Browser

Oslo, Norway – October 14, 2005

Opera Software and T-Mobile recently announced that the Nokia N70 comes with the Opera browser as part of T-Mobile’s Web’n’Walk offering. The N70 is the newest phone in T-Mobile’s Web’n’Walk offering – introduced in the UK market and coming to more markets soon. It is the third phone with Opera released by T-Mobile this year. Now T-Mobile UK customers can easily and conveniently access the full Internet while on the go, using the smallest Series 60, 3G mobile phone with a camera available.

“T-Mobile seeks applications that increase productivity for its users,” says Jon S. von Tetzchner, CEO, Opera Software. “Opera is the ideal application for this purpose, as it is a fast, full-featured and intuitive Web browser that is becoming a more important part of mobile services, especially as our lives get busier and the need for information sources increases.”

Coupled with the powerful Opera browser, the N70 gives users access to the full Internet, plus e-mail and instant messaging services. This phone also features a two megapixel camera, video calling functionality, an FM radio and more. Opera 8 for Series 60 provides users with a unparalleled full Web experience, dynamically re-formatting Web pages to fit the smaller mobile screen with its Small Screen Rendering (SSR) technology. With Opera’s Web browser installed on selected phones, T-Mobile can offer their subscribers the full Internet while on-the-go.

Web’n’Walk is an initiative to grow data services into a mass market by giving people unrestricted access to the full Internet and Web-based services on their mobile phones. T-Mobile has chosen the Opera browser to fulfill the promise of full Web access on several handsets.
