New Opera version for the Sony Ericsson P800
Oslo, Norway – September 25, 2003
Opera Software today released Opera 6.2 for Symbian OS for Sony Ericsson P800, offering the thousands of Sony Ericsson P800 users the possibility to further enhance their Web experience. The update is available for free to all phone owners.
The new version provides new features such as further refinements in SSRâ„¢, particularly in zooming, full-screen mode, introducing improvments in frames and windows handling, a new “save image” feature, as well as numerous bug fixes.

Opera’s browser for the P800 has been downloaded by hundreds of thousands since its initial release in February 2003. The phone represented the first commercial breakthrough for Opera’s Small-Screen Renderingâ„¢ (SSR) technology, which made the Web useful on small mobile screens for the first time by eliminating the need for horizontal scrolling through page reformatting.
