Continuing its success in Japan: The Opera browser on the new Toshiba W31T from KDDI

Oslo, Norway – June 30, 2005

Opera Software today announced that theOpera browser is included on the new Toshiba W31T. The BREW-based, 20 mmthin Toshiba W31T boasts a 2.4 megapixel camera in addition to fullInternet and e-mail capabilities, and is available on KDDI’s 3G network inJapan from June 30.

 

Opera signed an agreement with KDDI in August 2004 to deliver the Operabrowser on KDDI’s 3G network in Japan. The first phone shipped was thesuccessful Casio W21CA in December 2004, which made Opera the first fullWeb browser active on the Japanese 3G network.
