Opera Software today announced that the Opera Web browser for Nintendo DS will be released in Europeon October 6, 2006. The Nintendo DS browser powered by Opera enables full Web surfing from portable NintendoDS gaming devices. Taking advantage of the DS’s WiFi capabilities, the DS browser allows users to access thefull Internet, including webmail and secure banking sites. Nintendo of Europe has also partnered with Astaroto provide an optional filter to block inappropriate content for underage surfers.
